This collection of photographic portfolios includes various classes of drag racing cars that make up this website.  My interest in drag racing began while in high school and varied over time from the sixties to present.

The portfolios titled Nostalgia NHRA Professional and Nostalgia NHRA Sportsman Classes contain photographs that were taken in the late eighties through the early nineties.

Next, I focused my photography interests on traditional, large format landscape photography and have an additional website, James P. Sweeney Photography.com, which contains twenty years of photographing nature.  In 2000, I returned to drag racing and have compiled the following portfolios of my work. 

The NHRA Professional Classes include portfolios for Top Fuel, Fuel Coups, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle.  The NHRA Sportsman Classes include portfolios for Top Alcohol Dragster (A-Fuel Dragster), Top Alcohol Funny Car, Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, and Stock.  My intent is to present action photos as the primary content.
